    Tyler Roop

    PICKLEBALL COACH

My name is Tyler Roop, and I’m an IPTPA certified pickleball coach with a 5.0 DUPR rating. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where I first picked up a paddle at Udall Park about three years ago. With a background in soccer, lacrosse, football, and basketball, I quickly found that pickleball was the perfect blend of strategy, athleticism, and fast-paced fun.

Within my first year of playing, I was offered the opportunity to start coaching—and it quickly became something I was passionate about. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with a wide range of players, helping them improve their skills, movement, and mindset on the court. At the same time, I’ve been actively competing in tournaments across the region, earning over 20 medals in events ranging from 4.0 to Open levels.

In addition to my coaching and tournament schedule, I’m currently a student at Pima Community College, pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with plans to enter the field of radiologic imaging. My academic focus gives me a deeper understanding of human movement, performance, and injury prevention—all of which enhance my approach to coaching and training.

Whether I’m playing, teaching, or studying, I bring energy, focus, and a strong work ethic to everything I do. My goal is always to help players improve, compete with confidence, and enjoy the game as much as I do.

    Amory Yagar

    PICKLEBALL COACH

The Pad is excited to introduce Amory Yagar as one of our pickleball pros. He is a player who understands the importance of combing technical, strategic, and mental skills to produce your best Pickleball. Popular with all ages, genders, and skill levels. Amory offers a personal and relaxed coaching style guaranteed to improve your game. Here is a little more about Amory:

Hello my name is Amory and I love Pickleball and all of its details. My first experience came with some old high school friends and I have been hooked ever since. To me, pickleball is a beautiful blend of hand eye coordination, chess, and athleticism. I love the grind, that sense of accomplishment as you improve your game. I have a passion for teaching, when I am not playing pickleball I am completing my PhD in Economics at the University of Arizona, and bring that same analytical thinking to my coaching. One thing I guarantee I will bring up in any coaching opportunity is footwork. It is often overlooked, but is absolutely essential to being a consistent player. I am also left handed and can provide unique insights on how to play as a lefty or how to play with a left handed partner. I believe with a willingness to learn and some hard work, anyone can improve.

In my spare time I love to play board games and am learning padel. I currently have a Catan obsession, so please hit me up to play!
